Town of Alta Commercial Core Plan
The Town of Alta is excited to embark on a comprehensive planning effort with Landmark Design. Recent events such as Mountain Accord have added immediate impetus to the long-
term goal of taking a more visionary approach to Alta’s future.
The purpose of this project is to establish a clear, detailed, and complete vision for the future of Alta’s Commercial Core. This project is based on recent planning and visioning activities undertaken by town staff and community members, many of which reflect a desire to enhance Alta’s year-round economy, pedestrian connectivity, and public spaces for the benefit of residents, locals, and visitors. The Commercial Core Plan will enhance the Town of Alta’s ability to shape regional planning initiatives and inform decisions about local land use and transportation, as well as a variety of other aspects of Alta’s future.
We are pleased to announce that Alta Commercial Core Plan was adopted by the Alta Town Council on December 8, 2016. For copies of the adopted plan, visit the Town of Alta's website or the links located under Project Info.
