When I returned from an LDS mission in Uruguay to resume my schooling at Utah State University, it was not clear to me what I wanted to study to obtain a degree.  I took a landscape architecture course as well as some biology and chemistry courses in an effort to decide where my interests were strongest.  I continued taking the landscape architecture courses that followed, and enjoyed it.  I stuck with it; enjoying it more as a learned.

I enjoyed an internship with Landmark Design in the summer of 2006, and continue to enjoy my associates and the projects I work on since starting work as an associate in May 2007.  Working in the field of landscape architecture allows me to design something that is both aesthetically as well as functionally pleasing.  I enjoy the outdoors and imagining peaceful or exhilarating places.  I like to create spaces that help provide opportunities to experience the feelings and atmosphere the design was meant to encourage.

My wife is studying landscape architecture as well, and will be graduating in May 2008.  I very much enjoy spending time with her as well as with other friends and my family.
I enjoy learning and am so grateful that others share their knowledge, and that information is so easily accessible. I am constantly finding interesting things to discover and try.  I have been mountain biking since I was twelve or so, and just riding a lot long before.  I enjoy bicycle observed trials/urban riding.  I have added bonsai to my palette of interests and take great pleasure in learning about plant physiology and how that relates to styling a tree.  Other interests I indulge in are: Bicycle building/repair, bike polo, reading, learning languages, soccer, disc golf, volleyball, and snowboarding.
