Landmark Design developed a land use plan for the Herriman Residents for Responsible Reclamation (HRRR), a citizen group overseeing reclamation of localized lead-contaminated lands. Landmark Design Inc. researched a range of land use options and appropriate growth tools for the community, including the areas of contaminated soils. The plan assesses the practicality and appropriateness of implementing open space and agricultural buffers for maintaining a "sense of arrival" to a unique, small town. In a more general sense, the planning process attempts to identify appropriate tools and techniques for promoting rural life in a rapidly growing region.

As part of its ongoing involvement with Herriman, Landmark Design has completed a General Plan for the properties affected by contamination, which will be incorporated into the overall General Plan for the community. Working with HRRR, Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ) and the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), action levels and appropriate land use descriptions have been determined and are being incorporated.

Throughout the process, Landmark Design met with the affected property owners, assessed their needs and desires for the future, and incorporated land use options to expensive clean-up.
