Landmark Design worked with Salt Lake County to complete a master plan for nearly 50 miles of trail along the Jordan River Corridor. Our scope of work included a detailed analysis of existing conditions along the corridor, coordination with an advisory committee made up of multiple stakeholders including government agencies, a public involvement plan that was inclusive and informative, and completion of a master plan that addresses the multi-use trail adjacent to the river, as well as a river trail navigable by small non-motorized watercraft.
Landmark Design assembled all available data and background information,
contacted all of the communities adjacent to the corridor, completed a detailed
analysis of existing conditions, developed a trails plan for a broad variety
of trail users, and provided guidance toward completing the trail system.
The Plan also summarizes and addresses solutions to gaps in the trail system,
hazards, safety, signage, and access, and will establish development standards
for future trail facilities.
A copy of the final plan can be downloaded from the Salt Lake County Parks
and Recreation website at: http://www.recreation.slco.org/planning/. If you
