Jan Striefel was responsible for the layout and design of the interior Atrium for the residential apartment senior living center. The project included layout of planters and planter walls that form pleasant seating areas and "nooks" off the main space. The intricate tile paving design incorporates concrete and tile tree grates that permit residents to stroll under the canopy of trees without obstruction and danger of tripping. Selection of plant materials, landscape and planter accent lighting, special turn of the century style lighting fixture and drinking fountain all reinforce the design intent, and comfortably bring the out of doors into an atrium space that is useable all year round.

Parklane Atrium
