Landmark Design headed a multi-disciplinary team of transportation planners and economic planners to update the Woods Cross City General Plan. Located in southern Davis County north of Salt Lake City, Woods Cross experienced relatively slow growth since incorporating in 1935. The City is now experiencing considerable residential growth in western portions of the City, where the Legacy Highway is slated for construction. With new access and potential gateway opportunities into the City, there is considerable excitement about establishing new development and quality growth to the west, and in essence creating a new "front door" for the community.

The Plan examines existing and proposed land uses; housing needs and affordability; and existing and proposed public facilities, including recreational facilities. The plan makes specific recommendations for urban design and community building, and establishes an annexation policy for the City.

The Final Plan was adopted in Spring 2003.
