Landmark Design assisted Woods Cross City plan and site a future commuter rail station on the north edge of the city. Working with transportation input by Interplan Co., and in cooperation with the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and nearby property owners, Landmark Design helped locate the rail station and related parking areas, and identified appropriate land uses and urban design tools to merge the station with existing residential neighborhoods and other uses. A detailed plan for properties west of the station was recently completed, illustrating detailed redevelopment opportunities. These efforts, completed in November 2003, illustrate potential phasing of TOD development over time, and provide existing industrial establishments clear ideas of how the transformation might occur.
