Spanish Fork North Park
Landmark Design was hired by the City of Spanish Fork to take a conceptual plan prepared by another firm, refine it, and prepare a complete set of construction documents for the project. The $4.5 million park is intended to be the “jewel” of the city park system. It includes a splash pad water feature, restroom and shelter structures, an amphitheater, light sculptures and artworks, open play fields, walkways, plazas, a demonstration garden, a regional trail connection and other recreation facilities. North Park is intended to be the signature park in the City and will host numerous community events and gatherings, weddings, and other social activities.
Construction documents were completed in 2009, and the city acted as its own contractor under an agreement with an adjacent commercial area developer. Construction was completed in August 2010.
