Woods Cross City 500 South Streetscape Study
__ Landmark Design completed planning and design efforts on the 500 South Corridor Streetscape Study in August 2006. The corridor is located near the northern limits of Woods Cross City, and is identified as an Arterial Street that is owned and operated by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). The roadway provides access to a range of existing commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential and undeveloped properties.
The plan establishes a vision for the corridor that builds upon the unique “sense of place” found in the area, while making most of future changes likely to occur in the area. The vision begins with the surrounding context and setting, incorporating the general urban design and land use concepts contained in the Woods Cross City General Plan (June 3, 2003). The plan serves as a “grounding concept” for organizing future design and engineering efforts along and adjacent to the corridor.
