HEBER MAIN STREET PARK

Landmark Design was contracted by Heber City to design improvements to its Main Street Park in the heart of Heber’s Downtown. During a previous effort by Landmark Design to update the City’s Parks, Trails and Open Space Master Plan in 2020, we engaged the community to identify which parks in the existing park system would most benefit from improvement and what community desires were for each space. Public feedback strongly indicated that Main Street Park needed significant upgrades to fulfill its desired function as the community’s gathering and festival space, with support for a design concept that proposed a series of improvements to the park including a new bandshell, playgrounds, pavilions, and water features.

Later in 2023, the City hired Landmark to design the first phase of improvements to the park for implementation, including a dual-stage bandshell (with Elliott Workgroup) for outdoor concerts, sidewalk and accessibility improvements, and a festival street plaza to serve as a venue for City events, including the Heber Farmers Market. The project is under construction and anticipated to be completed by the end of Summer 2024.
