December 2, 2021: The City Council has moved to continue a review and discussion of the plan in the new year. For further project updates, please contact Melinda Greenwood, Kaysville Community Development Director, at mgreenwood@kaysville.com
November 16, 2021: The plan has been recommended by the Planning Commission for adoption following a round of revisions and the creation of the Executive Summary. September 16, 2021: A draft of the General Plan is now complete and available for viewing. Have a look at the plan here (Part 1 & Part 2) and be sure to leave any comments here on this webpage! April 9, 2021: A detailed survey has been completed by Y2 Analytics to seek further opinion from the public on future land use and parks, recreation and trails issues. The full results can be viewed here. October 30, 2020: After some further revisions to the Guiding Principles and Future Alternative Scenarios, we are preparing to take these to the public for comment. In light of current events with COVID-19, the public workshop will be moved to an online format, running from November 10-30th. We hope you will participate! October 1, 2020: After reviewing the results of the public scoping process and conducting an existing conditions analysis, the consultant team has developed a series Guiding Principles for the General Plan, as well as future alternative scenarios for future land use in Kaysville. After meeting with our steering committee, we will make revisions to these principles and concepts and then prepare to present them at a public workshop. June 1, 2020: Public scoping is now available online through the duration of June. The online public engagement process was also featured in the city's monthly newsletter. May 6, 2020: The advisory committee has been selected and conducted the first kickoff meeting. The agenda covered a discussion of the scope of the project and possible tools for public scoping and feedback. March, 16, 2020: A project kickoff meeting was held with city staff and the planning team. The selection of an advisory committee for the project was discussed, and future meetings for this committee will be determined in the near future. |
