Sam’s career has exposed him to a wide range of projects in landscape architecture and urban planning. He currently manages many of the firm’s design projects, including Heber Main Street Park Improvements, Salt Lake County Flip the Strip Phase I projects, and Madsen and Ida Cotten Parks in Salt Lake City, and takes a lead role in several planning efforts including the Lehi Downtown Revitalization Plan and North Salt Lake General Plan. He also serves as a part-time planning and urban design consultant for Tremonton City. Some of Sam’s favorite projects he has been a part of include the award-winning Burch Creek Community Park in South Ogden, Madrona K-8 School in Edmonds, Washington, the Pleasant Grove General Plan, and the Spike 150 Legacy Plaza for Golden Spike National Historical Park. Prior to joining Landmark Design, he also worked on several urban streetscape and green infrastructure projects, developing a skillset which he now enjoys adapting to the Intermountain West. Sam’s dedication is woven into every venture. He is a champion for public work and is deeply committed to the public engagement process, harmonizing the needs of various user groups, and achieving ecologically sensitive design that benefits both people and nature. He is grateful for his incredible team and looks forward to collaborating with them toward this end each day. |
