The Landmark Design Team, which includes economic and transportation subconsultants, was hired to develop an updated general plan for Morgan City in a planning process funded by a grant from the Utah Department of Transportation. The project incorporates a comprehensive planning approach that addresses the broad range of concerns and desires of the Morgan community.
The resulting draft plan addresses a full range of elements to guide growth in the city, including land use, transportation, housing, economic development, environment, and community facilities and services. The Draft Morgan City General Plan underwent extensive review by the Planning Commission. Updates to the draft plan are currently underway, with adoption anticipated in 2023.
