Landmark Design was hired by the City of Spanish Fork to take a conceptual plan prepared by others, refine it, and prepare a complete set of construction documents for the project. The 4.2 million dollar park is the “jewel” of the City park system. It includes a programmed and interactive water feature, restroom and shelter structures, a building for special events, an amphitheater, light sculptures and artwork, open play fields, walkways, plazas, a demonstration garden, a regional trail connection, and other recreation facilities.
As the signature park in the City, North Park hosts numerous community events, gatherings, weddings, and other social activities. Construction documents were completed in 2009, and the City acted as its own contractor under an agreement with an adjacent commercial area developer. Construction was completed in September 2010. The park has proved to be highly loved, providing a range of spaces and activities to compliment nearby civic and commercial uses. |
