Landmark Design prepared a unique landscape design for the Ogden Intermodal Transit Center that merges the busy site with the nearby historic Union Station through a verdant and pedestrian-friendly landscape treatment in the heart of downtown Ogden.
Utilizing a broad palette of trees, shrubs and other plant materials to reduce the scale of large parking and bus circulation areas, the landscape design re-purposes construction demolition materials into sculptural berms and specialty paving treatments. A sensory garden provides a place to smell and touch carefully-selected flowers and herbs, while serving as an outdoor training space for blind students learning to maneuver along city streets. Landmark Design was specifically responsible for design of landscape master planning, paving and fencing design, landscape design and irrigation design. |
